Soccer

Every year Decatur plays host to high-caliber tournaments and events such as the President’s Cup, the Southeast College Showcase, and the Olympic Development Program tryouts. We are known not only nationally, but also internationally for our state-of-the art soccer complex. The Jack Allen Recreation Complex has 11 fields with laser-graded certified sports turf and a computerized irrigation system. To add to that, we have seven other soccer venues within close proximity, including Wilson Morgan Park and Point Mallard Park, that provide an additional nine fields, making Decatur ideal for tournaments large and small.

“The Jack Allen Soccer Complex is simply one of the best in the country. It is a first class facility and there is no question that college coaches would enjoy the opportunity to recruit at any event held in such a wonderful complex.”
– Steve Holeman, Women's Soccer Head Coach, University of Mississippi

“The fields at Jack Allen are OUTSTANDING. They are better than the fields at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex.”
– 2007 Olympic Development Program Soccer Participant

“This complex compares to any of the soccer fields in Europe. "
– John Khalilian
